The Dominican Republic eTicket
Explained

Everything you need to know before your trip to the Dominican Republic.

Overview

What Is the Dominican Republic eTicket?

The eTicket (Electronic Ticket) is the Dominican Republic's mandatory digital entry and exit form for all travelers. Introduced in 2020, it replaced three separate paper forms that travelers previously had to complete on the airplane:

International Boarding and Disembarkation Card (immigration)
Customs Declaration Form
Traveler's Health Affidavit

Upon completing the form online, travelers receive a QR code that must be presented to airlines before boarding and to customs upon arrival in the Dominican Republic.

Requirement

Who Is Required to Complete It?

The eTicket is required for every traveler entering or exiting the Dominican Republic - regardless of nationality, age, or purpose of travel. This includes:

All foreign tourists
Dominican citizens
Children of all ages
Transit passengers
Business travelers
Cruise ship passengers

Timing

When Should You Complete It?

The eTicket can technically be completed at any time before your flight - even months in advance once you have your flight information. However, it must be done before you check in at the airport.

Don't leave it to the last minute

Airport WiFi can be unreliable, and the government portal can experience slowdowns during peak travel periods. Without a valid eTicket QR code, your airline may not allow you to board.

Groups

Traveling as a Family or Group?

Families and groups can be submitted together under a single order. All travelers in the same group receive a single QR code that covers everyone listed. Groups larger than 6 additional members (7 total) require a separate submission.

With our service, simply add all travelers to your order. We handle the rest.

Also Required

Other Entry Requirements

Valid Passport

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of arrival in the Dominican Republic.

Round-Trip Ticket

As of April 2023, airlines require all foreign passengers to have a confirmed round-trip ticket before boarding.

Customs Declaration

Cash or monetary instruments totaling $10,000 USD or more must be declared upon entry and exit.

Stays Over 30 Days

If you stay longer than 30 days without an extension, you'll be charged a fine payable at the airport on departure.
